Aloha
Thank you for considering our house as your home
during your visit to the beautiful North Shore of Kauai.
Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Kauai in 1996 directly after college graduation. Surfing, laid back lifestyle, and the enchanting island itself drew me here. While living in Kauai, I was able to do extensive traveling, for months/years at at time, visiting South East Asia, South Pacific, South America and Europe. While working on a coral reef research ship in Indonesia, I met Kiko, from Venezuela, in 1998. With our shared love of world travel, we worked and explored the world together, often returning to Kauai between our journeys. In 2002 we got married on Kauai and decided it would be a wonderful place to raise our family.
In 2003 we purchased a Hale Moi condominium unit in Princeville, and with Kiko being an all-around -handyman and carpenter, we decided to extensively renovated the entire unit, creating two very popular vacation rentals, which we ran for 12 years. (sold 2015)
In 2005 we had the opportunity to purchase a home in Princeville.
Over the next 3 years we completely renovated our new house, inside and out,
creating a comfortable and beautiful home to raise our island loving children, currently age 11 and 8.
And now,
we have made our home vacation rental ready, using our previous experience as vacation rental owners and world travels, to make our house the perfect home base for guests visiting beautiful Kauai. While we took our kids around the world for 12 months, May 2014-June 2015. (blog www.a-family-afar.com) We all loved it and still have the travel bug. Now we will continue to travel during school breaks, both over the winter holiday, breaks, and summers! Our travels have helped us to live as minimalist and we have kept our house up to vacation rental standards, ready to rent it to visitors when we are off exploring.
Combining our extensive traveling experiences, our memories of accommodations around the world that we have enjoyed, and our background in managing our popular vacation rental condominium, we have prepared our home for you. You will find our house comfortable and well stocked for all your vacation rental needs, making it the perfect home base from which to explore the beautiful island of Kauai. Our on-island assistant manager, Colette, who lives nearby in Princeville, is available to assist our guests in all aspects of their booking and stay.
Hope your trip to Kauai is everything you have dreamed,
Kelly & Kiko
